By early 2026, the Chapter 11 reorganization converted to Chapter 7 liquidation. Cardone Industries, Brake Parts Inc., and Autolite were wound down entirely. Physical assets and remaining inventory are currently being liquidated by Hilco and SB360.

General Motors and Ford were forced to seek court approval for a $48 million cash advance just to keep OEM-facing operations running long enough to protect their own production lines. That’s how fast this unraveled.
